I'm a little bit surprised that no one has been replied to this thread up until now. I'm listening to your recording right now and I really like your warm tone and your phrasing is nice as well, not to mention your technique is very very good. What a performance!

Hi Gary,

Fantastic playing and recording of quite possibly my favourite piece of music ever written. Definitely and album I will buy. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the above members. I have loved this piece since the age of eleven when I first heard Segovia's recording of it, I played it on repeat.
Then I discovered Julian's version and now I'm loving JW's version. All very different but what great interpretations. So many moods are expressed in this one piece alone, it's fabulous. Thank you Gary for sharing your interpretation with us. :bravo: :merci:

Thanks, you are right about different ways to play Bach and all of the performers you mentioned all have their unique stamp on it which is the way it should be. I still think that Segovia's first recording is a historical mile stone and to think it was done in one single take with no edits. Wow.
