I like this recording distance as it gives a more real 'in the room' sound , im not a fan of the more ambient recordings where the sound feels lost in reverb, this captures the real tone of the guitar. Well done, and the playing is immaculate .

Thanks Gary, I really appreciate it. I also have come to dislike the modern reverb-swamped guitar. Hearing the instrument as it actually is seems much more interesting I think. Cheers:-)

Well,...
when I say "little further will be better" I mean further microphone (without reverb or software adjustment) because I link to your words "Maybe I should put the mic a bit further away?".
It is just my subjective opinion. I hope that we don't misunderstand each other. :)

But when you say "..."when i record (which isn't so often these days)..." I have noticed, too - and sorry about that.
You are the one member of this site that make significant influence to us - "Delcampers"; every your recording is lovely gift to us.

So, do not be "tired", I know that after some years we feel that times are changing, and we are changing, and this site is changing,...
Maybe this speedy world changing our expectations but our passion for guitar and respect for artist can not be changed.

Best wishes, Bertran II

Thank you very much Bertran, that has made my day! I think there are quite a number of great players who contribute regularly here, I've even argued with some of them

:merci:

I find that there are a lot of nobility in this music. Your interpretation is very inspired.
This recording quality (microphone placement) is my favorite.
