Introducing my brand new German Theorbo! Based on the Jauck 1734 in the Kunsthistorischesmuseum in Vienna it is in d minor tuning with top course "d" (probably like Weiss and Baron did it). Double gut courses except for the top two. String lengths 78.8cm
95.7cm and 108.3 cm. Still figuring my way around the instrument but I was so eager to share it I wanted to post a short piece even if the performance isn't perfect. Transcription by Hopkinson Smith and lute by Andrew Rutherford.
