Sor, Fernando - op.62/01 Andantino cantabile - Video

Postby Tom Poore » Thu Jan 07, 2016 3:46 pm

Here’s a beautiful duet by Sor. The first guitarist is Krystin O’Mara, a former student of mine. (She was 17 when we did this recording.) I’m on second guitar. All paintings on the video are by Eugène Delacroix, who was roughly contemporaneous with Sor.

Really nice.
Found an old video on YT from 2007 (Carol of the Bells) looked like you both were having fun :-)
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

Actually Krystin was pulled in two directions during the making of that video. Her father, who was doing the camera work, kept telling her to smile more. I, on the other hand, argued that it was a minor key piece, and that she should look serious. So Krystin split the difference and looked befuddled.
