Sor, Fernando - op.35/01 Andante - Romantic Guitar Video

Post by kidneykutter » Sat Feb 27, 2016 11:09 pm

Youtube

After years of posting lute videos to the early music forum, I've finally acquired a Romantic Guitar. Here is my first attempt at a video. Still figuring out strap vs no-strap and what my right hand position will be (although Sor did keep his pinky on the soundboard!).

Stauffer Legnani model romantic guitar by Scot Tremblay. Gut trebles, silver wound basses.

Nice playing! You might try a soundhole strap, I use one for my ukuleles and quite like the feeling.

Lovely expressive playing of a beautiful melody. A pleasure to listen and well recorded.

Robert

Interesting idea. Looks as though still requires some holding or it will fall. Anyone have experience sitting with a classical guitar?

Thanks. I guess having a "romantic" guitar will give me permission to be a bit more schmaltzy
