Sor, Fernando - op.08/01 Minuetto - Video

Post by powderedtoastman » Mon Jun 20, 2016 6:16 am

Hello everybody!
I have decided to embark on a journey to play the entire Sor Op. 8, Six Divertimentos. I'm a little less than halfway through everything (and not studying them in order exactly) and just recently got to where I'm fairly happy with how I play number 1, Minuet.
I think these short pieces are very cute and entertaining even thinking of just the notes, and they also offer a lot of opportunity for expression and drama. I hope you will enjoy!

Yep, enjoyed! :-) ...maybe a little bit more time in the end of the video please, just to allow such music settle/fade away calmly.

Thanks for listening, guys!
Good point, Marek, I did let that end a little abruptly, which maybe hinders the spirit of letting those harmonics ringing out at the end.
Will have to be a little more mindful of that when I lay down the second one from this op.
