Reporting Errors in PDFs levels 4 to 6

Here you can help by pointing out any mistakes in notes, fingering, tempo, dynamic markings, composers' dates, spelling, or bar (measure) numbering that you may find in the forum PDFs.
Please indicate the volume, title of the piece, page number and bar number, to make it easier to check.

Reporting Errors in PDFs levels 4 to 6

Post by Jean-François Delcamp » Sat Nov 17, 2007 10:20 pm

Hello,
You can help me by telling me if you find mistakes in .pdf's: notes, tempo, dynamics, mistakes in the dates of composers or spelling mistakes or numbering mistakes that you see in my PDF's.

Please do not report possible errors in fingerings.

Here's how I would like for you to do this... When you find errors in my PDF's, post a message at the end of this thread with the list of errors that you have found (in the most recent version of the file(s), of course). I may not necessarily respond immediately, but I will answer as soon as possible. Remember to specify the volume, the title of the work, the page number and the measure number to facilitate the checking.

I do not speak English, but through the notes we will be able to understand each other.

Sincerely,
Jean Delcamp

Fingering mistake in Vol D07, J.K. Mertz, Capriccio 13/3

Post by marlovitsh » Wed Jul 07, 2010 10:05 pm

There is a fingering mistake in
Vol D07, J. K. Mertz, Capriccio 13/3,
page 75, bar 9, beat 3 and 4:
should be 1/4 1/4 instead of 2/4 2/4

Thanks anyway for all this beautiful work, Prof. Delcamp!!!

I received this PM:
houseofj wrote:Hi Kay

JK here, just thought I drop one of the Mods a line, to check something out; i've been doing a bit of reading of the volume 4 and 5 scores, still slowly trudging through the basics, but perhaps you could steer me right. In volume 5, the pages of exercises at the end, pg 143 exercise 37 the Barre exercise, i think this should read G major, not A maj. Now, I've spent more time concentrating on theory than practical playing the last couple of months, in the hope that I would at least be able to recognise that which I cannot as yet play, and perhaps i may actually be learning something, if I can spot it... but just thought I ask,
you were the first mod I see on line, so I PM you. Nice playing in your Vid's by the way...
Jk
As you can see, he's correct.

Hello Mr. Delcamp,

First, please accept my sincere gratitude for all of the time and effort you have invested in making such an amazing collection of sheet music freely available to aspiring CG players. I really appreciate the Delcamp forum and find it to be an excellent community for anyone interested in classical guitar.

I would like to report what I think is an error in the D06 catalogue:

File: delcamp_volume6.pdf
Score: Matteo Carcassi Etude VII (Opus 60 No. 7)
Page: 83
Measure: 20

I believe there is a missing 'E' after the first note (G#) in the measure:

Thanks again,

Steve T. :cafeine:

ici vous trouverez un lien vers l'édition originale : http://www.delcampguitareclassique.com/ ... cassi.html
Vous verrez qu'il n'y a pas cette faute dans mon édition.
J'utilise reverso (je ne parle pas anglais).

Here you will find a link towards the first edition: http://www.delcampguitareclassique.com/ ... cassi.html
You will see that there is no this fault in my publishing.
I use Reverso to answer you, because I do not speak English.

Hello Mr. Delcamp.

I was playing through Volume 5 this morning and happened upon a questionable note in Julian Arcas' Saltarina page 88.
In measure 12, I believe the B should be a B#.

Thanks for all that you do.

Dear Mr. Delcamp,
Your updates and corrections message dated April 4, 2011 is incorrect:
2011-04-04 volume D04, addition of pages 76, 77, 78, 79, 96 et 97.

Actually, addition begins from page 74, not 76.
Regards,
Vlad

What do I miss then?

My printout from February 23, 2011 has the following scores:
pp.72-73: Carcassi, Op23#9
pp.74-75: Strauss, Idyllen

The new pdf from April 4, 2011:
pp.72-73: Carcassi, Op23#9
pp.74-75: Paganini, Le Streghe
pp.76-77: Paganini, Andante
pp.78-79: Paganini, Perigoldino...
pp.80-81: Strauss, Idyllen

If I am wrong, then when Paganini, Le Streghe was added? Did I miss the update?
Sorry if I am wrong.
Regards,
Vlad

Oh, you are right. But it was at pages 70-71, before Carcassi Op.23#9. Now it is after.

The issue as I see it, that when I read something like "pages 25-30 updated" or"pages 70-72 added", I expect that I can just print these new/modified pages and replace/insert them into the original score. However, it looks like at the same time the other pieces get reordered. This can be an issue with program you use to generate pdf.
Can you, please, confirm this reordering was not done on purpose (was unintentional)?
If this reordering is not intentional, then we all have to be very careful when updating our score-sheets with your highly appreciated updates, because the pdf generator can have even more surprises for us.
Regards,
Vlad
