It will soon be the 1st of July and on that date any accounts which have been inactive for 12 months are deleted...

The original post was almost 2 years ago. Is this happening annually?

Inactive accounts are removed from time to time. To maintain an account a member needs to post an average of one message for each month of membership and log in at least once each year. Posting "credit" can be built up in advance, but getting into "arrears" risks the closure an account.

Could someone please explain the term inactive. Does this mean persons that have not posted anything for 12 months? I thought that I read somewhere that each account must be active every month. Sorry, I am a little confused.

Eddie, "inactive for 12 months" means the member has not logged in to his account for 12 months.

Quite distinct from that requirement is the requirement to maintain an average of at least one post per month of membership. This number is cumulative, so, for instance, it is possible to post say 20 messages on the day of joining. That would cover the post requirement for 20 months. But if no more messages were posted and the member did not log into his account again, then the account would be liable to be deleted after 12 months.
