Simplicio was a woodworker and cabinet maker and also an apprentice to Enrique Garcia. He carved the headstocks on the guitars, Garcia's guitars did not become elaborate with details until after Simplicio started working with him. He was a gifted Luthier.

Very lovely guitar! I like the flamed back wood and also the ornamentation on the headstock. Very nice! Thank you for sharing.

Hi Contreras! How is you Simplicio? Recently here in Manila today, I friend of mine had a newly acquired Simplicio with Cuban Mahogany that looks very similar to yours, almost like a twin! And I must say, I have handled maybe 6 Simplicios but this one with Cuban Mahogany is probably the best Simplicio that I have tried. I am very happy for you that you have acquired one like this!

Sorry that I am late to this thread. But ... just ... Wow! I love the look of that guitar. It's just spectacular in my books. I'd love to hear your thoughts now that you've had it for a few months.
