Granados - Oriental (Duo)

Post by DLMJ-1234 » Tue Nov 14, 2017 7:08 pm

A few questions for the professors here...

Who was the first person to arrange it for Guitar ?

Recommended recordings of it ? (obviously the Bream/Williams one is amazing but any others)

I can recomend the, as an arrangement, the one that Manuel Barrueco and Thomas Müller-Pering play together (Label EMI Classics)
Other versions: Evangelos & Liza or the Duo Tamayo - Montesinos

Also available in several solo arrangements, which can be found using Google, including an arrangement by Stanley Yates, a Russian arrangement, and an arrangement on the Delcamp forum, perhaps by Mr. Delcamp.(?)

Hi DLMJ-1234,

I recording that I've enjoyed of Granados Oriental (all 12 Danzas in fact) is from a Telarc CD (CD-80216) performed by Angel & Celedonio Romero. Angel Romero did all the transcriptions on the recording.
