My favorite Chistmas Book is John Duarte's CAROLS FOR GUITAR. I don't want to spend a lot of time learning Christmas music, yet I want the music to be good. I doubt any of the music is more difficult that anything at level two by Royal Conservatory of Music grading standards, and most of it is probably easier. This makes the music approachable by anyone beyond a rank beginner level of playing. To complement the light texture, I use a capo for almost everything. I've marked my score in pencil for capos anywhere from the 1st to the 5th fret. I recommend it to anyone that wants good quality solo Christmas music, but doesn't want to put a lot of time into learning it.
