I have started using a forearm tubigrip folded over twice inside an unpadded Oasis sleeve. If it is too tight, then go for a looser size. It may keep your arm a bit toasty but not a problem in Scotland. It can also fit under a long sleeve shirt if required.

I usually try to find the most available solution to problems such as this. In this part of Florida, I wear long sleeve shirts maybe two or three days a year. An old white "sweat" sock cut off at the toe works fine, applying it so that the heel of the sock is at the elbow. Actually I did it to the pair so that I have backup now.
I bought my classical guitar before my first marriage. That didn’t last, but the guitar did; one of the few things she didn't get...
