I actually do sleep with a guitar beside me. That happens due to my laziness of returning the guitar into its case. I fear that someday I might accidentally push the guitar down from bed, so I put the guitar on a stand on top of a cabinet beside my bed to replace the bed side lamp. I always want my guitar near to me.

I do from time to time. I have guitars in my bedroom, and have sometimes placed a guitar in its case next to my bed, in the hopes it will catch some of my dreams and imbue their energies into its woods, to later resonate with them, manifesting the beautiful sounds of the netherworld of my hopes and dreams....

I'll admit, when the heat went out, I went to bed with it. B-but it was just for warmth, I swear!!! I just wanted to keep it warm!!!!

My guitars sleep in a different room.Every night I will wipe them clean, kiss them and sing them lullaby before I put them into their cradles (hard cases/gig bags)!

Be careful with this stuff lads. I've a friend who used to sleep with his guitar. Ended up marrying it. Legally. Caligula style.

My girlfriend in college bought a new Ramirez A-1 and slept with it during the first few days of celebration. One morning she woke up and found a crack in the soundboard and was really bummed. Luckily I wasn't there that night so I couldn't be blamed...

I don't sleep with my guitar, but........

- I often slowly transition from dreaming to being "awake" dreamily / mentally playing guitar.

- In our bedroom there are 2 flamenco guitars in their cases neatly sandwiched between the love seat and my chest of drawers, my Soloette is tucked away on the other side of the dresser against the wall, an Emerald nylon string guitar is hung on the wall above the 2 flamenco guitars, an Emerald steel string Amicus hangs on another wall, a Rodriguez classical guitar - in it's case - reclines against the wall adjacent to a closet, and there are 4 guitars (in their cases) in the closet.

Although I've never actually slept with any of my guitars, a past girlfriend were intensely jealous of my guitars—especially my old Ramirez—and the hours I spent with them in my embrace. I actually feared for their safely and was relieved when she and I finally broke up.
