Question about posting videos of self

Post by Amy Gaudia » Wed Mar 13, 2019 2:44 pm

Hi,
This forum is amazing. I would like know the proper way to go about posting myself for the purpose of receiving constructive feedback on my performance. When I read through all the comments on other people's video posts, I see that the responses are very kind and helpful, even when addressing aspects that need alot of improvement. This is very valuable.

Is it acceptable to occasionally post videos and ask for feedback? Is there a sub forum where that is supposed to take place? Is is only allowed if you are actively participating in the Delcamp lessons?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Your piece must be in the public domain, or have explicit permission from the copyright holder (emails with headers from copyright holder) sent to the chief moderator. Then you would post your video in the appropriate subforum in Our Recordings. Use the format shown in the instructions on the banner on the first page. We look forward to your video!

Thanks! And one more question -- I recently posted my first video as a part of the thread on my new custom build guitar. Should I repost the same video into the "Our Recordings" sub forum? Or should I re-do my video and post it in the correct way? I would like to re-do my video because I was too nervous and should have waited a bit.

No harm in making another dedicated post for the recording Amy.

I do it all the time.

Hi Amy,

Yes, if you're thinking of re-doing the video anyway, it would be good to post the new one in Our Recordings, specifically (for that piece) in the Tàrrega section here.
Classical Guitar Forum.
