As for tuning, it is amazing that the strings stayed in tune overnight! Classical guitar strings pretty much always need to be tuned before each practice session, and a few minutes later once they warm up (and probably a few more times, if you play for an hour or two or more). That is perfectly normal.

As for a teacher, please do get one! It is far better to start out doing things correctly, because it will make your musical life much easier and your progress on the instrument much quicker and more effective. Have fun!
