Yamaha G-231 II like new!

Post by georgemarousi » Tue Nov 07, 2017 8:57 am

Hello all !

I just acquired a Yamaha G-231 II at a quite decent price. It must be from 1978 - 1980.

Its really beautiful ! :casque: The guitar has barely been played a bit, at the point of buy back then, then for 38 years in the closet (no humidity)! It is in excellent condition, not a single mark !

Also the neck is perfect straight !

I believe due to the perfect condition it has a significant value. Could someone tell me how much could i sell ( if i decide so.. ) ? :merci:

Thank you in advance!

ps. photos to come over tomorrow

Not too valuable. But it's a nice little guitar. Most likely in the 150-200$ range...250 would be the highest. It's not a higher end guitar. I'm thinking keep it...because what a great travel instrument.

You aren't likely to find one like that, but that doesn't mean it's very valuable.

Thanks for your reply!

I initially thought that due to the condition it would value more !

I also tend to keep it as it also has a very good and sweet sound !
The only disadvantage I find is that I will have to be very careful not to ding it ! :)

Check for the specs online and then compare to prices for an equivalent Yamaha today. Back in its day it was around $150-$175. Today if it is in pristine condition...who knows? To the right buyer could bring $350.
