Esteve r. Fernandez 70

Found this guitar used for about 500 bucks, looks to be solid Indian rosewood back and sides as well as a solid cedar top.
I’ve heard the Esteve guitars are pretty good, however I’m not too familiar with them my selves, or if this is a fair deal. If anyone could enlighten me a bit that would be great, it’s the non cutaway model

Looks like a pretty good deal. Ronald Luis Fernandez is no longer selling these, to my knowledge, but when he was he was inspecting the guitars thoroughly and doing any needed setup. So this guitar should, in theory, be better than most Esteves out there.

According to his website, he has moved to Anacortes and appears to be focusing on things other than his long-standing import business.

As to Esteve, I don’t have any personal experience, but most of the Valencian guitars are pretty solid—yet reasonably lightly built.
