Alhambra question 1C vs 10P

Post by Japple » Tue Jan 01, 2019 2:00 pm

Based on the product line descriptions on the Alhambra site I would expect the “P” line to be higher end than the “C” line, but I’m seeing 10P prices that are $100 less than a 1C. The 10P’s do seem harder to find, is it a discontinue version, hence the low price ?

Thanks

Where do you find these prices? A 10P is a flagship product while a 1C is an entry level guitar.

The C series is newer than the P series.

The confusion lies in Alhambra's model designation: it's 1OP (letters for "open pore"), not 10P (ten P).

I see it now, the capital “O” looked like a zero, or my wallet wanted it too ;-)

Thanks

I don't understand this. If the "10P" is really meant to be a 1 followed by an "O"," then what is meant by the Alhambra 11P? There is an Alhambra 11P.

There is a model 1 OP, or 1 Open Pore. The listing displayed it as 1OP. I misread the O for a zero.

Maybe better to designate these as 1C, 1 OP, and 10 P.

The problem is that there is both an Alhambra 1 OP and 10 P. I believe they have renamed the 1 OP as the "Z Nature," and the 10 P is listed on their current site as "10 Premier" (even though they use #P for all other similar models), so I suspect they have recognized the confusion they have caused.
Note that this is on the alhambrasl domain. The alhambrausa domain still lists the 1 OP, but the Premier line only lists up to the 9 P.

In an age where both sites are easily found via search, I don't understand why they would maintain some separate model numbers for US vs. the rest of the world, further perpetuating the confusion.
