Talk to David Schramm. His H1-A is a perfect clone right down to the covered V neck joint. You can google him.

If you want am actual copy, I think you need to specify which particular guitar you want a copy of.

Well most of them are either the 37 Segovia or 40 Bream so any of those.

James Lister is too modest to mention that he makes guitars that are based on the 1937 Hauser but not actual copies. Provided you don't want a genuine copy it could be worth a trip to Sheffield.

Yes I owned one of James which was very good indeed but I’m looking for a copy at hopefully a good price.

Thanks both for the kind words!

The best I've played was one by Gary Southwell - in fact at the time I thought it was the best classical guitar I'd played full stop.

As mentioned above, I used to make "Hauser based" guitars rather than copies, but my guitars have evolved a fair bit since then, so I don't usually link or liken them to Hauser any more.

Simon Ambridge. But it depends what you mean by "a good price".

I'm not. I was just suggesting Simon Ambridge, who made a stunning Hauser copy for Bream.

Depending on your finances, I would choose the Brian Cohen Hauser in the For Sale section. If that is too expensive, I don't know any names other than James.

could always look for builders
who use the "Bream '73 Romanillos" plan,
because that is a copy of a 1930 Hauser.
(owned by sergio abreu)
a lot of people have taken romanillos'
class and might know that build very well.
if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
then quit.
there's no use being a damn fool about it.

Sorry to be blunt but I’m not looking for recommendations for builders, I’m looking for someone selling one at a decent price, my first choice would be a Gary Southwell, I did purchase one from a dealer in the UK but it had some issues and had to go back, it was however (and I concur with James Lister on this) the best guitar I have ever played.
