Antonio Sanchez Estudio guitars

Post by avanpeel » Mon Mar 11, 2019 7:36 am

I've been playing guitar on my Alhambra 1c for almost 10 years now and I think it's time for an upgrade.

Yesterday I went to my local music store. I was surprised when I played on a Cordoba C5. It was much more comfortable thwn my Alhambra. The sound was a little too bright for my liking considering I play bossa nova.

Next I tried the Antonio Sanchez estudio 1 with the cedar top and bubinga sides. I was pleasantly surprised. It had a dark, mellow sound and when I played through some classical pieces, I found that I barely made any mistakes.

I looked for information on Antonio Sanchez guitars but it seems that they changed how they name the student guitars. Before it used to be 1010, 1015, 1020 etc.

I'm interested in the
Antonio Sanchez Estudio 1
Antonio Sanchez estudio 2 (650mm)

I'm also seriously considering the estudio 2, 640mm since I read that for bossa and jazz players a shorter scale would provide a better reach.

Lastly, is the cordoba fusion 12 in the same quality range as the aforementioned guitars?

Any advice would be greatly helpful. Thanks!
