Buying from England, no CITES doc

Post by bobbyboy » Thu Mar 14, 2019 4:38 pm

Hello,
Thinking of buying a guitar from England, I live in the USA, no CITES docs.
It's made with composite carbon-fiber components. Not sure what the carbon
Is used for, I think the bracing. It's a 2000, after CITES became a horror.
I believe CITES became upon us in 1992.
I really like this guitar, but don't want to lose it in customs.
I'm paying through e - b a y, if it's taken by customs, will e - b a y refund my money.
Thanks,

Bobbyboy

1992 is only relevant for Brazilian rosewood, nothing else. Doesn't sound like your guitar has that. Does it have any other rosewood? If not, there are no CITES rules that apply.
