Not sure if its becoz its too old...the back looks very dark to me. Plus i saw somene selling the same model and called the back and side latin american rosewood. Thx!!!

Looks very dark indeed, like a few Japanese guitars I've seen from the 70s. I would say it's Indian rosewood, of such quality you probably won't find today.

My two Yamaha GC30A and two Yamaha GC70 all 4 have quite similar looking back as this Asturias.
1980 Yamaha GC30A - BRW/Spruce
1984 Yamaha GC70 - BRW/Spruce
2015 Sen #5 - BRW/Spruce
2017 LHN - BRW/Spruce

Is that 1979 asturias label will not have m matanos name though it is manufactured under his supervision? The seller says so.... Thx!!
