Let's get Proneologiferous

Post by Abd El Ghani AZZI » Fri Dec 07, 2018 10:22 am

Hi,
What about getting Proneologiferous?
You invent a word using, mainly, common Greek or Latin affixes, and let the others guess what it might be.

Proneologiferous should be one good example :
• Pro = before;
• neo = new;
• logi = from logo = Pertaining to a word or to the act of speech;
• ferous = producing the specified material;

So, to be "proneologiferous" could mean "to invent a word hoping that it will eventually become a neologism".

I am not completely satisfied with the -ferous suffix, because it implies the production of a "physical" material (Nectar, metals...).
Someone could suggest a better option...

Anyway, my friend suffers from "haemolalia". What do you think this is? :D

(A good way to be sure you're "proneologiferating" is when Go(d)gle itself returns no results to your inventions, and, at best, makes a close suggestion, in my case it was "hemofilia"... bang!)

Pax.

Or... How you can elegantly prove you do not suffer from a particular phobia. :D
Nice one Alyamepi.

A quick Godgle books search showed that "neologiphobia" has been used, along with "neolexicophobia", in some autobiography.

Anyone with haemolalia here? :D

Nice one sseidler, I confess it has happened to me a couple of times when trying to explain complex things to simple minds and inversely.

Actually, I was thinking of haemolalia as the bloody pathological use of the adjective "bloody" before every bloody word one bloody says.
:D

Your understanding of "aesthetipotheosis" is outside my "gnotopia". :oops:
