Help ID this guitar

Post by nossnevs » Tue May 21, 2019 9:10 pm

Hi I found this on a fleemarket.
The label says:
Guitarras Laudes Bandurrias
Domingo Arroyo Ballesteros
Alcaceria 2 Granada Ano 1966

It need to be fix a little, may bee new bands, ( Im not sure) but new strings for sure.

The label is from Granada 1966, but who build this guitar ?
The tone is beautiful even with old strings.
Is it a cheap one or ?

Thanks

To me it looks like some workshop student guitar. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

Guitarras Laudes Bandurrias - The intruments made by the builder (Guitars, Lutes (of some kind), Bandurrias.

Domingo Arroyo Ballesteros - The makers name.

Alcaceria 2 - Steet name and number

Granada - City

Ano 1966 Year.
Seems to be well constructed and the top looks nice to my eyes. The back is mahogany judging by what is visible through the sound hole. I don't know anything about the maker.

This shop still exists in Granada. They sell trinkets and souvenirs. Many years ago shops like that also sold guitars made in factories for tourists. Domingo Arroyo Ballesteros was not a guitar-maker. I have never heard of him buying guitars from Granada makers as Rafael Morales did but I suppose it is possible. Only you can tell us the quality of the guitar.
