Weiss, S. L. - Ciacona - Video

Post by JeongHoon » Sat Jan 20, 2018 10:56 am

(I got help from a Google translator.)

It's the CGDGBE rate that John Williams often uses in his arrangements and his own compositions.
It was appropriate to play Weiss's chaconne.
I am pleased with the feeling of 11-string guitar as much as I was struggling with bass arrangements.

I played and saw a typical Am arrangement score.
I think it will take some time to make the score because the work is busy.

Thanks for watching.

I like the CGDGBE transcription - always felt A minor sounded shrill. Nicely played.

I agree, nicely played. The player sure has long fingers.

I believe he is playing it in A minor, just with a different tuning on his guitar.

The CGDGBE tuning goes well with Ciacona because its sounds are soft and grand.
Thank you.

Bravo, wow! Lots of emotion in your playing; it is "soft AND grand" and there's some tenderness in the upper melodies too.

The performance of Goran Sollscher gave me great inspiration.
