The guitar is a thirteen string Dresden built by Michael Thames and the recorder is a Roland R-26.Phillips99 wrote:Lovely. What is the guitar? Also the little audio recorder in front of the guitar?
Altophile wrote:Nice performance, and elegant guitar! FYI, for those on a budget, Heikki Rousu can build a 13 string D minor guitar for Baroque music for about half the price of the Thames model:-) I love the Thames model, but the last time I checked the price was over $7,000.00, which is way out of my ballpark.
Thanks, Alain:-) I actually contacted Heikki early this year about the possibility of having him make me a D minor guitar, but then I heard his 11 string Open Alto on Youtube and I was hooked. If I can ever afford a $4,000 guitar, the Open Alto is the way I'll go. They're beautiful sounding, and much of what I already know vis a vis tuning will carry over to that instrument.Alain Cloutier wrote: There's a 14 strings made by Heiki Rousu for sale on the french forum if you're interested:
