Here's another piece from the collection of 50 pieces at the end of Carcassi's Guitar Method, Op. 59. I initially found this Moderato in a collection of pieces that Duncan published as a supplement for his method. I think we can all see the similarities to his 2nd Etude (also in A minor) from his Op. 60. This piece is much less challenging for the student's left hand as it doesn't navigate past 2nd position and includes no barres. Great for a student who you want to work on the same techniques as Op. 60 No. 2 but might not be ready to play a piece which works across the neck of the guitar, or who's barre technique might not be ready.
I've chosen MIMI for the right hand fingering for the repeated notes, however using fingerings like AMAM or AIAI or other right hand fingers could make this small study into a great right hand workout for balancing all the fingers.
