No he doesn't refer to the first revolution but to the next one, in 1830. If you follow the link to the original score, the subtitles of each section describe a particular event in the revolution. Was he political? Aren't we all? I guess had the revolution failed he wouldn't be publishing this piece , he was an ageing man by 1830 so he probably wasn't at the barricades.singvomblatt wrote: I wonder what happened 1830 on that 3 day journey.
