O’Connell, Gary - The Longing

Post by FellowPlayer » Sun Jan 27, 2019 3:48 pm

Original composition emoting love lost. This is the most recent composition and recording. The idea of a dead stop before the short development really added something to this I found. It wasn’t an original idea but just happened when on a take I forgot where I was in the song and stopped. Then thought, hey... hold on here. That works! lol

Shure Sm81 mics
Some Eq peeling off the highs and lows and boosting gain
Some compression but not much
Lexicion Digital Reverb (small chamber dark) Freakin’ amazing reverbs!!!

Hope some of you like it and this is helpful.
Gary

Gary,

:bravo: what emotional explosions :D
I liked also the stop. Nice contrast!
And your mastery on the guitar is very impressive!

:merci: :bye:
