[PDF] Johnson, John - Passingmeasures Pavan

Post by pogmoor » Mon Dec 12, 2016 9:18 pm

There's a request here, viewtopic.php?f=12&t=109118#p1161471, for an arrangement of John Johnson's version of Passingmeasures Pavan. There are two versions of this solo lute pavan attributed to John Johnson found in manuscript sources. This one is from the source known as Dd.2.11 (Cambridge University Library). There are several similar pavans by other musicians; the name is thought to be a corruption of the Italian Passamezzo.
