It's difficult to explain the really odd title attached to this piece. It is found in only one source, the manuscript in Cambridge University Library known by its shelf mark, Dd.2.11. It is crammed into a couple of lines at the bottom of the page, mixed in with a better known piece (The Scottish Hunt's Up) which is known to be by John Whitfield. So it isn't clear whether it is really by Whitfield and there is no explanation of what seems (from where it is written) to be the title. The one definite thing that can be said about it is that it's a galliard.
