[PDF] Händel, G. F. - Lascia ch'io pianga

Post by benbeuming » Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:32 am

Inspired by Bartoli, I made this arrangement of the beautiful aria from the opera Rinaldo. Originally in E-major. A transposed it to A-major (with a baroque tuning and use of a capo). Hope you enjoy it.

One of my favourite from Haendel.
Thanks Benbeuming.
I went up into the attic and found a Stradivarius and a Rembrandt.
Unfortunately Stradivarius was a terrible painter and Rembrandt made lousy violins.

Thanks Benbeuming. This is such a beautiful piece of music. I'm going to give this a try even though it looks a bit challenging for me.

Thank you very much for a wonderful arrangement of a sensationally beautiful aria. I can't stop playing it - or at least trying to. I haven't tried the changed tuning yet but it works a treat on normal tuning.

Me too. There are two or three awkward spots, but otherwise it's fine with normal tuning.

Thanks Ben! :merci:

Dear Alan (and Derek), I have made 2 other versions of this Aria. This one in normal tuning. But my favorite is with f-sharp which I will post later. Wonder which one you prefer.

Enjoy, Ben

Thanks
I prefer the one with standard tuning (not a huge fan of ren. scordatura's :/ )
