help to play exercise 58 in book 1 of Sagreras.

Post by Adilson Francisco da Silva » Sat Jan 27, 2018 1:02 am

Hello

I'm studying classical guitar by the Sagreras method. I did not understand how to play exercise 58 on page 31 of Julio S Sagreras's book "The First Lessons of a Guitar". Follow the image with the highlighted part in yellow.

Thanks

That's a smiley face for reaching all the way to exercise 58.

It is called a "tie" in English. You should play the first note and hold it for the duration of both the first and second notes. So keep your finger inplace and let the E ring until the end of the bar.

Thank you very much. I was thinking I should play two times the E note;
