Canto Para Yẹmọnja
2013 Milagro MRS7

Simple arrangement of three short Yoruba songs for the goddess Yemonja from the Brazilian Candomblé tradition, and a reference to Yemaya Assesu from the Cuban Santeria tradition. Recorded right as soon as it was composed, so a little rough in places. The plan is to replace the pedal bass with something more evocative of the Agueré rhythm used by the atabaque drums, if possible.

The 7th string is tuned down to A. I haven't indicated fingerings, but I play most of the melody on the inner strings.
