case for 8 string guitar

Post by Dennisolsenmusic » Sun Jan 14, 2018 12:21 am

Hi i was wondering if anyone knew of a source for an 8 string classical case. I have a Ruer case but its getting very old and tired eg. handle broke, outside shell damaged. i've had it a long time almost 40 years. its been on a lot of gigs with me and it shows it. I guess I do to.
Any leads would be much appreciated.

Dennis

Hi Dennis,
provided your 8 string classical has typical body dimensions I would recommend a VGV classical case. They feature a comparatively soft V shaped neck support where the neck is lying on the flat accessories compartment cover. Almost ideal for wider necks. This was an almost ideal match for my 10 string classical after a very long search. Due to its oversize I had to go for an 16“ Jazz guitar case! Good luck!
