Isn't that what the neck block is called? Spanish foot?

Maybe I inserted my foot into my mouth just there :shock:

I don't want to hear any excuses of why you can't use gut strings on it. I think your technique will be nice on lattice...and sound less like crunchy lettuce.

Haha. I already play a lattice guitar, again by Juan Hernandez. Somehow their lattice guitars still sound like traditional Spanish guitars.

Thanks, David's a great luthier and a lovely bloke. Prices are very reasonable too. Even so not sure I can afford number 3 just yet, you know how it is in our line of work!

Can't wait to see a video with your new 10 string!

The company have a guitarist who tests their instruments before shipping, in case they need tweaking here and there. Apparently all was in good shape, and they will be shipping it on Wednesday. Exciting!

Is the test-player a rather large man, or is this a 7/8 size guitar?

That's what crossed my mind. He must be very large, as the string length is (should be!) 664!
