10-String headstock. Need help!

Post by HNLim » Wed Oct 07, 2015 5:16 am

After converting my 1974 S. Yairi 950 to a 10-string, I kept the guitar with the headstock unfinish because I wasnt sure if I wanted to keep the guitar. Now that I have decided to keep it, I went on to do some fine-tune adjustment to the bridge, fingerboard and putting the fishish on the guitar.

I set out also to carve the headstock. The carving is much more challenging than anticipated. Is there any correction or adjustment that I need to do before I finish the guitar?

Many Thanks!

The only correction you need to do is start transcribing music for your new guitar :) That is so awesome. It looks like you have some middle eastern aesthetic influences and I think it's beautiful.

I believe you could try a Tusq saddle compensated for 10 string...it may or not make life easier. Whatever you are doing, keep it up.
