You can't really go wrong with a pair of Neumann KM184. But any transparent/quality condenser microphone will do, U47 clones/replicas are usually great for nylon as well.

All the best from Sweden

Feel free to ask me anything about Japanese classical guitars.

My Neumann Km 184 has been good to me. I will experiment with LDC next.

Most specialists, historically, use small diaphragm condensers, such as DPA. To generalise, SDCs are more accurate, LDCs are often voiced to flatter the human voice.
I originally compared a Neumann (can't remember the model but it was the same price as the next cited) and an AKG C414 - the latter although large diaphragm, was more faithful. I ended thinking it was like fizzy drinks - you might prefer a sip of one and a glass of the other; I preferred a sip of the Neumann and a glassful of the AKG.
I now normally use two Hebden Sound SDCs.

Nothing like a ribbon I reckon, if you can afford a decent preamp.

When I was a recording engineer, Schoeps were my favorite. I think mine were CMC 65s.

I've done 6 CDs with KM 184s, 1 with those and AKG 414 in mid-side configuration, they all sound great. The mid-side setup is a little more "present", but not noticeably so.
