Which recorder for CG practice - Zoom H1, Tascam, or...

Hi, which audio recorder would you recommend for CG praxis, at around 100-200 bucks?

I am looking for

- good sound (duh), and
- ease of use, unobtrusive controls
- ability to navigate recordings, maybe to sort and mark them,
- maybe ability to put recording on dropbox or other cloud storage,
- ability to listen to recordings via headphone
- easy re-charging

My android phone already serves as metronome, hence I'm looking for a dedicated sound recorder.

I think if you could add to that budget to but a Zoom H5 or H6, you will be happier with the result and it does worth it. But otherwise, zoom H1 is better than Tascam I think. Here's a video of me recorded by zoom H6.

Hi, I just got an Olympus LS-P2 which hits all of these marks - except for Dropbox, Cloud storage. It is probably a bit noisier than an H5 or H6, but zoom onboard microphones sound a little too brittle and thin for classical guitar in my opinion, the LS-P2 sounds much more relaxed and natural, it is also extremely small. I´ll post clips soon.

I think that placement matters more than which recorder.

I've heard good recordings from very low budget recorders and bad recordings with high-dollar gear.

I just got a tascam DR-05. It sounds good and it's simple to use.

Check this out. Simple and I think it sounds really good.

Here is an example of what you can do with just an H1 and no effects. This is Uric Baros, an awesome player.

I use a Tascam DR-05... with the right mic positioning and such, you can get a decent result. But I would definitely save a few bucks and get the Zoom H4. If you're going to record, you might as well not cheap out and get a better result.
