Hi everyone,

I am a new member and reside in Chicago. I am recently retired and starting to play guitar again. Chicago is a great city and has plenty of places to learn to play folk and blues music. I play Mexican music on various guitars and also some blues and American folk. But the more I play the more I get drawn back to classical guitar. I took classical guitar lesson when I was very young and would like to once again play classical guitar. However, Chicago does not have a lot of places to learn to play classical, so I am her and eager to learn. I look forward to participating and want to thank the founders of this site for the work they are doing and allowing the general public to learn and share music.

Run don't walk to Julie Goldberg. If she is accepting private students, she will have you "jump started" in short order. She's done some stellar work with ensemble players as well.
All the best!
