Hi fellas,

Dank je, Kiitos, Danke

Many thanks for the warm welcome.

Confession, they say, is good for the soul. This year I'm celebrating 41 years as a classical guitarist.
I started the guitar very late in life (aged 19 years). My teacher at the Ulster College of Music -
Mr Gareth Hopkins - was (and still is) the Principal Bassist in the Ulster Orchestra (a brilliant bassist, and an even better classical guitarist!).

I will always remember what he said to me during the first lesson in September 1976 -
"An amateur guitarist is someone who practices until he gets it right. A professional guitarist is someone who practices until he can't get it wrong".

Today I am a professional guitarist, although sadly not on the classical guitar. But, still practicing.

I look forward to learning from you guys.

Kind regards

Paul Perry
