New guitarist greets you

Post by Gwynedd » Fri Mar 31, 2017 8:50 pm

I'm a "senior" type who decided six months ago, since we don't live forever, I'd better get on with learning classical guitar, because the music has always been a passion for me. According to the Zen saying when the student is ready the teacher appears. I found a wonderful teacher. He runs our guitar society in the largest city in the state, and a concert series and he's a luthier, too.

I am playing through the RCM Bridges series and like the Op. 241 Carulli to memorize. I play a Yamaha GS90 we had bought long ago in Germany, but my husband didn't end up playing it, and I play piano. I restrung it and it's what I play at the moment.

I have a monster list of music I'd like to learn once I am able. Mostly Spanish and South American.
