Classical guitar beginner from India

Hello everyone,
I am a student of classical guitar from India. I have been learning the guitar for about two years now. Previously I used to fiddle with an accoustic guitar but never had formal lessons. I did not have a very clear idea about the classical guitar. The turning point for me was listening to John Willliams playing Asturias in youtube. I got hooked and started listening to a lot of classical guitar.
I am now currently a student at the Calcutta Classical Guitar Society. I play a Yamaha C40. I am very excited to join this group and learn new stuff. :)

Best regards,

Mugdha, welcome. I am also a fellow beginner. I have just started. I finished my 6th lesson last week. I began for much of the same reasons as you. I decided to learn an instrument. I listened to classical guitar and loved it. I bought a guitar and scheduled my first lesson a week later. John Williams is great. I am especially impressed with how "quiet" his hands are. He makes it look so effortless. Best of luck to you. - Pill
