greetings from llanelli Wales

Post by dutchjonnie » Tue Oct 10, 2017 8:07 pm

I'm an ageing guitarist still trying to learn, I suppose that's something all guitarists do!
I have been playing a long time but my job doing construction work has taken its toll on my hands, forever cutting fingers and breaking nails. Now that I have retired I hope to recover my dexterity and do justice to the nice guitars I have. Apart from playing classical guitar I accompany my wife who plays keyboard and sings, for this I use a takamine steel strung and electro acoustic raimundo nylon strung guitars. otherwise my standard guitar is a Alhambra cedar top. I have also recently acquired a persian tar, this is a real challenge as it has a gut fretted neck set to a persian scale and all online lessons seem to be in farsi!
I love music from all genres especially if guitars are involved. I was certainly inspired by Bream and Williams and love the south american stuff thanks to listening to Alirio Diaz after seeing him perform in Southampton in the seventies.

best regards to all
