Greetings from Carson City, NV

Post by jollypat » Thu Feb 01, 2018 2:34 pm

I am looking forward to advancing my knowledge and skills through this site. I have registered a couple of previous times and have find it difficult to post anything in order to continue my membership. I have a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Vocal Arts and use the guitar as accompaniment. Again, that usage makes me a little reluctant to post - what do I have to offer? I am a self-taught classical guitarist and my musical interests extend outside the classical genre. As a teenager in the late 60's I would lay in my bed and listen to Segovia albums for hours. Over the years my technique has improved through muddling usage, but as I enter the Autumn of my years I have my eyes on some of the lessons available through the site. I am a technical novice so I won't be sharing in that area. I can agree on things, I suppose, and post that. But I enjoy the 'banter' of the experts, and appreciate the the knowledge, experience, and positive encouragement of the participants. So on we go!

Welcome. You may want to attend the Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival in Reno, July 19-20, and then other activities at Lake Tahoe, 21-22.

It's called "Facebook" because "Narcissistbook" was too hard to spell.
