Greetings from Portland

Post by NickName73 » Thu Jan 17, 2019 7:21 pm

I’m a hobbyist classical guitar player in Portland, Oregon. I’ve played for many years, sometimes taking a year or two off when I feel burned out. I love Bach, Villa-Lobos, Barrios, Weiss and others. I really love listening to certain Segovia recordings and most Bach recordings by John Williams.

Classical guitar is complicated for me. It feels like a lonely road. Folks can be intensely opinionated about every nuance. Maintaining nails is kind of awful, I want to rock climb and play piano. All that said, I love classical guitar, there’s nothing else like it.

Hi!
Welcome to the Delcamp forum, the best internet site for classical guitar.
I guess that one of the moderators will soon send you a welcome - you need two approved posts to have
access to the recordings and members' scores and the levels D01..D03 of the Delcamp graduated series.
In the meantime, have a look around - there's really a lot to find.

Yeah. I've been watching a lot of videos on nails...a lot of pros do fine with quite short nails. And of course some people play with none (
