New and better photo of the scratch.
This is a new guitar I bought this summer which is in 95% condition--the 5% being mostly a small scratch to the lacquer (sneezed while taking out of the case and just nicked it on the latch). The scratch did not penetrate the wood. The lacquer is thin throughout (I will include a strip of golpe material unattached so if the buyer wants to protect behind the tie block he/she can). Back in 2012 I missed out on a chance for a flamenco I wanted which became available shortly after I bought the Huipe. In 2012 I passed but not in 2017 so now an almost brand new guitar is now up for sale.
The action is moderate (3.0mm/2.7mm) and there is plenty of saddle to go lower. The saddle is 9.5mm above the top. The sound is typical of the Sabicas era--good trebles and basses and dry. The guitar has real pegs which work well--they do not slip and are reasonably easy to turn. They are not buttery like a professional high end guitar but they do work well. One could easily install mechanical Pegheads if so desired.
