Please do not denigrate a guitar for sale or the luthier who made it. Moderators will remove such messages. Whether or not the sale should proceed is entirely up to the parties involved.

RE Spain Classical 1985
Scale length - 650mm (measured from the inside edge of nut and saddle).
Nut width - 53/4mm
Top - Cedar
Back/sides - Rosewood
Fingerboard - Ebony
Numbered and dated by hand as 1985 No. 236
Action at 12th fret is 4mm on first string and 6mm on the sixth

This guitar plays well and is a good intermediate classical guitar from a well known maker. I bought it as a back-up but no longer need it. I would knock-off £50 for collection by the buyer. I cannot compare it with similar guitars because I don't know this price range well. I expect there'll be players here who know the maker and his work.

(I have two other inexpensive guitars for sale and would be prepared to do a good deal on the three for an easy single sale. Details on request by PM).

Joe, Describing the condition and providing the action of 12th fret's E6 and e1 strings would help interested buyers. Nice guitar. Robert A.

Good idea Jon. I've added that information. The makers name confused me when I first came across it.

I had a request so here's a pic of the saddle. There's a little play in it.

I am pretty sure that there was a thread about him here at some point in the last 1-3 years but I didn't find it when I did a search recently.

His name was I think Ray Spain, he lived locally to me in the 1980s and I saw at least one of his guitars at the time.
