I haven't got the etudes, though I've had a look at number 8 - someone lent me the music. Do you recommend the studies?

Yes, I'm almost done with Etude #1 and I should start Etude #8 in two months?? maybe.

The version of "Fete Villageoise" that I have been exploring I downloaded from the Royal Danish Library. The marked time signature is 3/4 but the measures are duple. Is this a mistake or is anyone aware of a reason or convention in relation to this piece?

Looks to me like it is just a mistake. Should be 2/4
