Mike - that was great. Really enjoyed listening and hearing the sustain on each of the notes of Cataluna. And your posture is something I need to emulate.

Finally getting my posts in. Switched to my cedar top. The trills were easier on normal tension strings, but it took some time to get use to the difference.

Hi Ed, I agree with Olga. Your tempo just right, slow and steady. I even counted along with you as you played :bravo:

As you get more comfortable with the piece try to soften your string tone, if that makes sense. This stood out more so with your other post, Las Hachas, and I'm wondering if this particular issue might be due tension/level of difficulty you felt when playing? So maybe this will take care of itself as you get more familiar with the piece (and feel more relaxed).

Your hard work shows!

Hi Olga. Very nice, great progress since last version of this piece.

Question: would it be possible to change the camera position a bit next time, so we can see your right hand. I was going to make a suggestion on RH technique to someone else, using your post, but I decided against it because I couldn't see your RH. :D

Nice job!

Mike, great job. You nailed those trills and La Minona De Cataluna.

My fingers are permanently sore (I have to continually work on 'Cataluna - use or lose, so to speak). I have also been playing around with string tensions. Light tension strings, for me, tend to move sideways and off the fret board in some cases while attempting trills. Normal tension trebles seem to work best for me.

Hi Tom - nicely done with the Cataluna. You are right about string tension, especially with LAS HACHAS. The minute I saw the barre, I added tension to my fingers.

LOL! After I posted my videos, I tried the pieces on my high tension guitar - and it was actually much easier for me!

I've got a set of strings with high tension trebles, maybe I'll give them a try. :chitarrista:
